The Oberlin Film Society (OFS) will screen The Long Goodbye (1973), a revisionist neo-noir directed by Robert Altman. Loosely adapted from Raymond Chandler’s novel, the film drops private eye Philip Marlowe into sun-bleached 1970s Los Angeles. Its laid-back style and sharp satire make it a cult favorite and a uniquely modern detective story.
